Ask about our "Heliconias de Las Alturas".These are Heliconias that are found at greater than 1500m altitude.They seem to do better in the Northern climates although they are Tropicals.All of these are recommended to be purchased as retooned plants as they will give a much better chance of taking.

Medium sized hybrid "Stricta X Ortostricta 'Valentine' is the most outstanding plant of this size on our farm with its perfect plant shape,wavy leaves,red midrib and Valentine colored large brachia-Plant to 5-6'-Bucky a H.stricta is about the same size but with all green straight leaves-

Large Heliconias we love are Wagneriana,Caribea yellow,(Both$15.00 ea)Caribea X Rubra'exotique'($20.00),Rostrata ($14.00)

and Collinsiana(with the white underside of the leaf-$20.00) the latter two

being hanging types-See Phase I, Phase II ,and Phase III of the brachia development
