The farm is owned and managed by Esteban McGrath and Sons.
Esteban and his wife Linda have been Exotic Tropical plant gatherers    and collectors since 1978,when Esteban was a grower of  Exotic
Oriental vegetables for export to markets in the  US mainland and
Europe.Roy and Johnny are the future of this family business.
With his Green House and drip irrigation experience in the annual
planting  of 250 acres of Orientals on the South Coast of Puerto Rico,
1999 they started preparation of the 8 acre Guaynabo farm located in
the mountains of  Puerto Rico just 20 min from San Juan at an
elevation of 1150'(350m).
There.... where coffee was originally planted ,the jungle
climate(>2000 mm precipitation) and a year round stable temperature
allows  the propagation and growing of Heliconias,Gingers,Hibiscus,
Citrus ,Plumeria,Adeniums and Orchids as well as theFlowering , Fragrant and Variegated Tropicals selected.
On the hilly farm terraces were prepared 10m wide on the contour of
the mountain at every 30m elevation change all the way down to the
level land alongside the river.
On our farm we use a combination of drip  irrigation  ,
micromisters,Digitilized misting and foggers as well as just plain old
rainfall to get our plants up and beautiful for our clients.
We want our clients to know that our selection on the site is limited to
those plants we find enjoyable to grow and that are outstanding in           flower, bush or plant  presentation, variegation and forgiveness.
We ,as well, offer growing suggestions as well as recommend contacts  with experienced Tropical Plant Growers in your specific climate zone.
Esteban is no more than a telephone call or an E-Mail away when you    need him for exchanging ideas.
